Job Summary: Milestones Bar and Grill is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the kitchen team and manage orders as they are displayed on KDS.
  • Plate dishes to specification during peak times.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menu items creatively.
  • Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Train new kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
  • Perform all tasks related to food storage and kitchen operations, including cleaning kitchen equipment and flooring.
  • Provide attention to detail when performing duties outside of standard responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle a physical workload when completing tasks.
  • Willingness to work late nights and early mornings.
Skills:
  • Proven experience as a kitchen Supervisor or Lead Cook.
  • Strong skills in grilling and plating.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance.
  • Proficiency in food handling procedures and knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication and organizational skills.
