Contract Type: Short-term Contract


Location: Remote (with 2-3 in-person meetings)


Duration: 1 Month

To enhance the quality of our training curriculum, we are seeking a qualified and licensed Medical Advisor to review and approve our first aid training materials.


Position Overview:


As a Medical Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of our first aid training curriculum. Your expertise will be essential in assessing the medical content, providing recommendations, and approving the final materials.


Responsibilities:


  • Review and evaluate the first aid training curriculum to ensure compliance with medical guidelines and industry standards.
  • Provide expert advice on the medical accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness of the training content.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to address any identified gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Participate in 2-3 in-person meetings to discuss findings, answer questions, and provide feedback.
  • Approve the final first aid training curriculum based on established criteria.


Qualifications:


  • Licensed physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta or another provincial or territorial licensing body.
  • Medical degree (MD) with specialization in emergency medicine, trauma, or a related field.
  • Experience as a medical advisor, medical consultant, or in a similar role within the healthcare or emergency response sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of first aid protocols, emergency medical procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey medical concepts to non-medical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


Requirements:


  • Access to necessary technology for remote collaboration.
  • Availability for 2-3 in-person meetings during the one-month contract period.
