Interior Health is hiring a Manager, Business Operations. This role will support business operations for Digital health, Human Resources and CFO portfolios, providing oversight and direct support to the team of four Business Consultants and the Executive Directors of these areas.

Salary

Salary range for the position is $106,026 to $152,413. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How will you make an impact?

The Manager, Business Operations is responsible for financial forecasting, planning and decision support within assigned programs and/or portfolios. To achieve the mission, goals, and objectives of Interior Health (IH), the Manager, Business Operations manages a team to use financial, statistical, and quality indicators/data to develop accepted financial targets and benchmarks to monitor processes that measure and improve patient and client care within defined financial resources. The Manager uses provincial mandates and IH wide strategic priorities to support the development of operational strategies by working collaboratively with leadership and management within operational portfolios. The Manager also advances organizational financial literacy by engaging in multiple initiatives meant to improve financial information and educate IH leaders in strong financial management practices. Lastly, the Manager provides input and makes recommendations to the Director Business Operations, Senior Management teams, and external interested partners, such as Foundations, on financial issues as they relate to both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of their assigned program/portfolio.

What will you work on?

  • Participates in and leads strategic planning processes and projects that have Interior Health-wide impacts and require consultation with other jurisdictions and senior executives.
  • Is accountable for processes that set organizational priorities and allocates resources toward the delivery of those priorities (for both operating and capital revenues/expenditures).
  • Develops and maintains policies, principles, and processes to assist in the management of resource allocation, service provider contracts and decision support.
  • Ensures strong integration of information and issue management between both the planning aspects of financial services and reporting. Includes accountability for managing an effective forecasting mechanism to assist Senior Executives’ ability to adjust resources and commit resources toward organizational priorities.
  • Guides and mentors team members.
  • Responsible for staffing functions including daily assignment, recruitment, hiring, ongoing development, performance management, performance evaluation, disciplinary action, and termination, as required.
  • In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations and implementing required corrective actions.
