The Assistant Manager, Accounting will perform general corporate accounting. The accountant will also assist with the closing of books and ensuring proper financial reporting and tax management.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting with monthly closing and year-end audit
  • Perform GL and financial statement analysis
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedure
  • Assist with preparation of tax returns for corporate income and sales taxes
  • Custom duty monitoring and management
  • Environmental handling fees monitoring and management
  • Prepare reporting package to the parent company
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and project
  • Perform internal accounting control assessment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Minimum three years’ experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PPT, and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
