Our main solution, ApronAI, is a computer vision system that monitors and analyses aircraft turnaround processes from video streams. The data that the system generates is used in real-time for gate planning, alerting, delay predictions, and sustainability use-cases. ApronAI is deployed in mission-critical contexts by some of the world’s busiest airports.


To optimize and scale our processes, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in a full-time remote position.

This role will be a combination between acting as a project manager and also enhancing our overall project management processes in order to shorten delivery timelines, minimize efforts and reduce cost.


You will be a part of our Project Management team, consisting of two technical project managers who oversee the projects from a technical standpoint and work closely with technical teams, and one customer-side project manager who ensures proper communication between the client and the company.


Responsibilities

Your main job as the Senior Project Manager will be planning and steering the project execution to ensure a smooth and successful rollout. You will act as the connector between Assaia’s project delivery team and the customer team. This includes:

  • Further professionalize the project management and delivery processes.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition with the commercial team through deployment with the tech team, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed notes on the integration needs and clarify specific requirements for each project.
  • Establish appropriate balance between customer demand and technical feasibility through mutual discussion with the customer and tech team. Sign-off of the agreed scope of the customer deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members, and manage changes to the plans and customer expectations.
  • Measure performance and progress using proven and widely adopted project management tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to remain aligned with industry best practices and continuously grow professionally.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management and related experience within the software/tech industry.
  • English on a native level, additional languages (especially Spanish/German/Russian) are a big plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
  • Successful experience in complex project management and coordination.

Technical skills:

  • Highly skilled in creating technical documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas in a way that makes them look simple.
  • Having experience of working with machine learning teams and products is a plus.
  • Having experience with operational processes at airports and/or airlines is a plus.

Soft skills:

  • Systematic thinking and a passion for continuous improvement and implementation of processes to achieve consistently good results.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong and positive relationships with customer teams and management as well as internal team members and management.
  • Very good understanding of working with people from different cultural backgrounds, primarily how to delegate and control execution.
  • Critical thinking, open-mindedness and readiness to accept mistakes and learn from them.
  • Focus on getting things done. Ability to find optimal speed/quality balance
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable with external changes – as Assaia is a young company on a very strong growth trajectory working on an innovative solution, requirements and deadlines sometimes get updated.

The salary range for this position is CA$120,000 to CA$160,000, depending on your skills and experience.
