Bayshore Home Care Solutions seeks a motivated Operational Excellence Specialist.

The Operational Excellence Specialist is responsible for analyzing, improving, and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. The role exists to ensure consistent adherence to established protocols and to drive operational excellence within the organization. The specialist collaborates across departments to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and measure the impact of these changes.

Hours of Work: 8:30a-5p, Monday - Friday
Work Setting: In-person, office environment
Location: Mississauga, ON with visits to branches & clinics as required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use process mapping and other analytical tools to document and visualize workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and consultants to understand process needs and challenges.
  • Develop and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, including new workflows and automation.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of all business processes in Visio.
  • Co-create training materials and provide input on sessions to educate employees on new processes.
  • Develop, baseline and implement metrics to track the effectiveness of process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify further optimization areas.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and recommend ongoing automation opportunities.

Knowledge, Skill and Technical Abilities

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Typical problems include identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, underlying causes of identified problems, and areas for process improvement along with creative solutions.
  • Typical decisions involve selecting appropriate process improvement strategies, implementing new workflows, and developing training materials. Decisions are escalated when they impact multiple departments or require significant resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project, Viva and Co-Pilot.
  • Demonstrated experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Power Insights).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to document processes clearly and deliver input into training effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Lean Six Sigma, Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience in process improvement, process analysis, or a related field, preferably within a regulated environment (healthcare, finance, government)
Proven track record of successfully identifying and implementing process improvements
Typical office environment, with visits to branches and clinics as required
Ability to travel up to 50% during key program milestones. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car if necessary.
