Job Description

This is a hybrid role with proximity to Calgary preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity for an industry Land and Energy Administration professional to be an integral part of the most widely used Land Management software in Canada. Qbyte CS Land is used by 200+ customers and 3000+ users.

Working closely with Product Management, Software Development, QA, Support and Services you will play a key role in the on-going development of Qbyte CS Land, Qbyte Optix reporting and the Qbyte Exchange bulk upload/update Excel tool.

As a Business Analyst in the close-knit development team, your industry knowledge, experience and ideas will help us take Qbyte CS land to the next level. You will have a major impact on the products' continued success in the market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively share business knowledge and experience with the team

  • Contribute to the quality and standards of the product

  • Requirements gathering; write user stories and use cases

  • Review and provide business acceptance of application changes and enhancements

  • Assist the team in accomplishing the agreed upon team goals

  • Develop and maintain product/project documentation

  • Facilitate problem resolution for internal and external customers/stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years experience within the Canadian Oil & Gas industry

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Qbyte CS Land application experience

  • Knowledge of current industry initiatives and trends

  • Experience writing business processes and other documentation

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills

  • Superior interpersonal skill
