The Opportunity:

We are looking for an accountant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position will provide a critical role in financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing and highly motivated finance team.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of key financial statement areas for the consolidated business.
  • Support the consolidated month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (ASPE), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the year-end audit process.
  • Manage and submit government filings, such as tax returns and regulatory reports.
  • Support in enhancing financial reporting processes and policies, systems, internal control environments, and identify process changes and improvements.
  • Work on some cool projects, including supporting the launch of new products/lines of business, process improvements, system implementations, etc.

Our ideal team member:

  • Has 2+ years of accounting experience with a CPA designation (or working towards a CPA).
  • Experience with Netsuite or a similar large ERP.
  • Pays close attention to details and can review their own work thoroughly.
  • Is naturally curious; if something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across diverse teams.
  • May have corporate indirect tax experience - this is an asset.
