The main object and purpose of this position is to support the business strategy, objectives, and values of the company by managing and implementing the Human Resources programs and policies for the activity in Canada in accordance with the Group's strategy.


The incumbent assures that all human resources strategy, programs and policies are implemented and managed by the Human Resources team, all while promoting quality and safety objectives.

This position also leads vital organizational transformations and reports directly to the President of Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada.


Responsibilities:

  1. Develop human resources strategies: Identifies key HR issues affecting the company’s competitiveness and performance.
  2. Determine appropriate strategy to address short term and long term organizational capability issues and make appropriate HR recommendations.
  3. Manage internal communication strategy aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
  4. Ensure communication compliance with group standards.
  5. Collaborate with the corporate human resources team in the development of related programs.
  6. Introduce new programs and evaluate existing programs through intermediate managers.
  7. Support the President in key programs with HR content.
  8. Act as confidential management resource to assist the President in key organization and executive management decisions.
  9. Ensure skill development in conjunction with local managers.
  10. Manage and optimize resources for implementing policies and programs.
  11. Provide structure, governance, and leading practice recommendations for transformation.
  12. Develop Human Resources team members through coaching and support.
  13. Encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
  14. Develop, analyze, and provide recommendations for special project assignments.
  15. Work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve HR processes.

Are you a MATCH?

  1. Diploma: Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Industrial Relations.
  2. Training: Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
  3. Knowledge: business acumen, ability to supervise and train staff, employee development and performance management skills, management principles and practices, computer skills, oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills.
  4. 10-12 years of experience in diverse range of Human Resources Management functions within a globally matrixed organization.
  5. Bilingualism is an asset.
