Job Description

Develops and delivers training curriculum for instructor-led classes for product installation, business development, and product knowledge. Responds to product-related inquiries from homeowners, trade show participants, and internal customers. Assists with HouseWorkx training program including participation at shows as required and assisting with the annual redevelopment of the design work. Collaborates internally to foster company growth among Sales personnel in designated region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, schedules, and delivers training curriculum for instructor-led classes for product installation, business development, and product knowledge for internal and external audiences for assigned region.
  • Responds to homeowner, trade, and internal customer inquiries. Ensures training materials are readily available.
  • Assists with the HouseWorkx training programs, including working on the truck for larger shows and assisting with the annual development of the design work.
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts Ply Gem VSI Certified Installer classes.
  • Collaborates with business associates to develop new products and installation instructions for new and existing products.
  • Supports online training programs.
  • Works with all brands, sales, and marketing to drive traffic, education, and selling opportunities for continued growth and customer conversions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Develops relationships with contractors and installers.
  • Represents warranty policy.
  • Supports Territory Sales Managers to build/grow sales.
  • Complies with Company safety policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a building materials sales or training role.
  • Learning Management System experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop and successfully present training programs.
  • Must become a VSI-certified trainer within the first year.
  • Should possess excellent organizational and creative skills and a high level of initiative.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of and skill in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of vinyl siding products and industry strongly preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Highly organized and customer-focused.
  • Demonstrated construction skills to build training/demonstration walls.
  • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Licensed driver.
  • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
  • Position requires extensive travel up to 80% and may vary throughout the year.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $85,000 + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
