Tasks:

  1. Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization's goals
  2. Direct and control daily operations
  3. Evaluate daily operations
  4. Motivate staff
  5. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  6. Plan and organize daily operations
  7. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  8. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  9. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  10. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  11. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
  12. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  13. Manage training and development strategies
  14. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  15. Hire, train and supervise staff
  16. Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
  17. Provide customer service
  18. Conduct performance reviews
