Senior Project Manager

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a one-year contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will be required to work Hybrid (required 8 days on-site per month) at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.
Security Requirement
Must have the ability to obtain: Secret Clearance
Key Tasks
- Oversee Cyber Security projects and initiatives focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM) that typically involve multiple systems, processes, and stakeholders at various levels within the cyber division and across several IT portfolios and the Bank, including the overall scope, schedule, and deliverables by applying project management methodologies for planning, Agile principles, reporting, change control and risk management.
- Develop and present project proposals, implementation plans, status reports and change and risk logs.
- Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns.
- Assist employees with Agile and project management practices and methodologies.
- Provide regular updates on progress and value delivery to IAM management and/or the sponsor/client.
- Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning retrospective meetings and backlog management to provide guidance to the delivery team to identify and prioritize deliverables.
Key Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, or business administration
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in the field of information security and IT
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist in overseeing medium-to-large implementation projects and project team for the definition and implementation of cyber security solutions in a complex environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilitating workshops and presentations to the program team and clients, including senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in establishing effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to identify and communicate value and translate business needs into project objectives
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation and problem resolution
Assets:
- PMP Certification
- Certified Agile Leader
- Kanban Management Professional (KMP)
- Demonstrated experience in within Cyber and IAM domain.
