Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years in a Level II or III antepartum/postpartum clinical setting required. Charge nurse experience in a postpartum setting. Inter-professional communication. Patient/Client/Family/Community-Centered Care. Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities. Ability to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient and family care planning processes. Understanding of teaching/learning concepts. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Preferred Qualifications:

2 years proficient progressive leadership and facilitation experience preferred. Perinatal certification an asset. Current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification an asset. Connect Care education and knowledge (Stork application). Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities. Ability to work shift work.
