Position Overview

GreenSky is looking for an experienced Security Operations Leader to join the Security team. They should have experience in leading teams and setting the vision for security operations and have the technical expertise and hands-on experience to be involved in operations. They will lead a team of internal associates and oversee third parties for various security services including a Managed Detection and Response Function and threat and vulnerability management. As the leader for this team, they will be responsible for setting the vision and driving constant maturity of the SecOps functions while also driving the day-to-day operations with the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you do:

  • Oversee the SOC and continue to improve the managed service, advance detection capabilities and mature capabilities.
  • Create the vision for team, technology, and security processes.
  • Lead and manage security incidents, manage and mature incident response plan, conduct testing exercises for constant improvement.
  • Oversee vulnerability management program and continue to improve capabilities.
  • Incorporate Threat Intel into security operations.
  • Establish a Threat hunting practice.
  • Oversee ongoing security operations to continue to refine mail and web filtering capabilities and advance data leakage prevention capabilities.
  • Communicate security and technology needs to the CISO, engineering and management.
  • Analyze and optimize orchestration and automation.
Required Skills/Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Proven track record with Detection and Response and Threat and Vulnerability Management.
  • Expert technical understanding of Security Operations and advancing Monitoring and Response Capabilities.
  • Experience in building and managing Vulnerability Management Processes.
  • Someone who understands how the SOC works not just how to use it.
  • Experience with modern cloud computing environments (AWS and Azure preferred) and SaaS applications.
  • Hands-on experience in using SIEM and security tools like Splunk, MS Defender, Rapid7, Mimecast etc.
  • Expert in Incident Response and leading Incidents.
  • Ability to define, implement, automate and measure effective incident response playbooks.
  • Experience contributing to, and consuming, threat intelligence feeds and conducting threat hunts.
  • Confidence to report security performance metrics with accountability for accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience in managing people and overseeing third party relationships.
