We are currently accepting applications for a Site Administrator to work out of our Abbotsford construction site. The successful candidate will be working under the direct supervision of the Site Coordination Manager and providing accurate and efficient administrative support to the Site Superintendent and Project Manager. What you will be doing:
- Provide construction administrative functions on site and in office under the direct supervision of the Site Superintendent;
- Maintain office and 1st aid supplies & inventory as well as on site and online filing system;
- Inspect shipments, document damages, defects or discrepancies and notify the supervisor and/or purchasing personnel, forwarding appropriate documentation to head office (purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, etc.);
- Make arrangements with suppliers for material deliveries to site;
- Material and tool inventory control;
- Daily site inspection ensuring safety procedures are being followed;
- Other related duties as required.
What you need to bring:
- Administration experience, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (construction industry experience is a bonus);
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally;
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members that allows for conflict resolution, integrity, supportiveness, and effective collaboration to enable employee and departmental success.
Extras we like to see:
- First Aid level 2;
- Understanding of accounting procedures is an asset;
- Knowledge of standard site practices and procedures is an asset;
- Safety experience is highly desirable.
