R&D Regulatory Affairs Scientist

Overview
The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise to PepsiCo brands. This will require an excellent understanding and application of the Canadian Food and Drug Regulations and Guidelines to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for authoring and approving ingredient statements, nutrition facts, substantiating claims and approving graphics and advertising that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo foods and beverages.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, on final artwork and in specifications, for your assigned brands.
- Involve work on multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
- Minimum of 2 years regulatory affairs experience required, with strong knowledge of Canadian food regulations
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently
- Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines
