Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Management Consultant, who will be responsible for strategy and planning engagements with our enterprise customers. As part of Esri Canada’s Management Consulting practice, you will work at the intersection of business and technology and help our customers leverage location-based technology to transform their business. Using your considerable knowledge and experience in business consulting and geospatial technology, you will help to advance Esri Canada’s position as the leader in GIS and location intelligence.

Management Consultant responsibilities include:
Lead or support strategic planning engagements with enterprise customers
Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executive audiences summarizing recommended location-based strategies
Actively participate in the preparation of proposals (e.g. RFPs, RFIs and RFQs)
Research and develop new frameworks, best-practices, and methodologies associated with the domain of geospatial strategy and location intelligence
Develop industry presentations and author publications that establish the consultant and Esri Canada as thought leaders in the GIS industry
Actively engage the account management teams to advance the value proposition of Management Consulting with current and prospective customers.

Specific skill requirements:
University degree in the field of business administration, computer science, engineering, GIS, geomatics, or related. MBA or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience as a consultant with a focus on strategic planning in a technology area
5+ years of experience working with enterprise GIS and location-based solutions, specifically with Esri’s ArcGIS software suite
Demonstrated ability to complete strategic business studies and to develop and present recommendations and reports
Familiarity with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling
Experience in facilitating discussions and leading workshops
Experience in building and managing client relationships
Ability to communicate with executive levels of the organization
Ability to negotiate and build consensus
Experience with web-based applications
Demonstrated awareness of emerging IT trends and directions
Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and occasionally internationally
Bilingual fluency (English and French) is preferred

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent written communication and presentation skills

Considered assets for this position:
Professional designation associated with Management Consulting (e.g. CMC) or IT (ITIL, COBIT)
Experience in any of the following key subject areas: IT and Information Governance, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Portfolio Optimization, IT Operations, IT Transformation

Le conseiller ou la conseillère en gestion devra mener à bien les tâches suivantes :
Diriger ou soutenir des rencontres de planification stratégique avec les entreprises clientes.
Préparer et livrer des rapports et des présentations à des dirigeants résumant les stratégies recommandées en matière de localisation.
Participer activement à la préparation de documents de vente comme des réponses aux demandes d’information et des soumissions.
Rechercher et élaborer de nouveaux cadres, de pratiques exemplaires et des méthodes associés au domaine de la stratégie géospatiale et de l’intelligence de localisation.
Élaborer des présentations à l’industrie et rédiger des publications qui assoient la réputation du conseiller et d’Esri Canada à titre de maîtres à penser dans le secteur des SIG.
Travailler activement avec les équipes de gestion de compte à bonifier la proposition de valeur aux clients actuels et potentiels en ce qui concerne les services-conseils en gestion.

Formation, expérience et aptitudes nécessaires
Diplôme universitaire dans le domaine de l’administration des affaires, de l’informatique, de l’ingénierie, des SIG, de la géomatique ou dans un domaine connexe. MBA ou expérience équivalente.
Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en tant que conseiller, plus particulièrement en matière de planification stratégique dans un domaine technologique.
Plus de 5 ans d’expérience dans les SIG et les solutions de géolocalisation d’entreprise, en particulier avec la suite logicielle ArcGIS d’Esri.
Aptitude démontrée à mener à bien des études commerciales stratégiques, ainsi qu’à produire et à présenter des rapports et à formuler des recommandations.
Connaissance du travail d’analyse visant à dégager les besoins des entreprises et les exigences techniques qui en découlent (cartographie et modélisation des processus d’entreprises; développement de méthodologie; modélisation des données).
Expérience dans l’animation de discussions et la direction d’ateliers.
Expérience dans l’établissement et la gestion des relations avec les clients.
Capacité à communiquer avec la direction de l’organisation.
Aptitude à négocier et à parvenir à un consensus.
Expérience avec les applications web.
Connaissance avérée des orientations et des tendances émergentes en matière de TI.
Volonté de voyager au Canada et, à l’occasion, à l’étranger.
Bilinguisme (anglais et français) est préféré

Compétences considérées comme des atouts
Titre professionnel associé aux services-conseils en gestion (par exemple consultant certifié en gestion) ou à l’informatique (Information Technology Infrastructure Library [ITIL] ou Control Objectives for Information and related Technology [COBIT]).
Expérience dans l’un des domaines principaux suivants : gouvernance informatique et de l’information, gestion des services informatiques, architecture d’entreprise, optimisation du portefeuille technologique, opérations informatiques et transformation informatique.
