About The Role

Reporting to the Project Foreman and the Mechanical Department Manager, the Apprentice Millwright will be responsible for working with the Projects team to meet specified requirements from internal and external customers on a contract basis. There may be an opportunity to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis or to extend the duration of the contract.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Travel to commercial and industrial client sites across the Lower Mainland and/or Okanagan Valley;
  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures;
  • Install, troubleshoot, align and take apart industrial machinery and equipment (such as pumps, fans, ovens and conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools);
  • Proactively assess risks and develop plans to align with safety regulations;
  • Completion of all paperwork as required.

Our Must Haves

  • Minimum 2nd year Millwright Apprenticeship;
  • Owns personal hand tools and approved footwear;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and has reliable transportation;
  • Experience working in the food, horticulture, or manufacturing industry will be considered an asset.

  • Wage: $19.80-$35.90 per hour
