About the role

We are looking for a Fraud Triage Specialist to join our team

As a Fraud Triage Specialist for our Investigative Services team in Western Canada you will be responsible for qualifying investigative tips/leads within Auto and Property insurance claims.

What you'll do here:

  1. Identify fraud indicators in insurance claims by collecting and analyzing information to determine if further investigation is required.
  2. Conduct initial screening of claim leads for multiple lines of business (auto and property), by collecting and analyzing claims evidence or data and provide recommendations to adjusters and management for further investigation.
  3. Utilize fraud analytic tools to review leads and determine viability of information.
  4. Participate and/or manage project work, by working with members of the Investigative Services and other Claims departments to deliver on project goals.
  5. Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with stakeholders (internal and external) when making decisions and/or providing feedback on leads, tips, and projects.
  6. Consult with internal and external stakeholders to improve fraud identification strategies, financial tracking, and support business initiatives.
  7. Innovate investigative strategy and support artificial intelligence initiatives for claims (all lines of business).
  8. Liaise with and educate regular market staff on fraud awareness.
What you bring to the table:
  1. Claims experience in either auto, accident benefits, property, or casualty is considered an asset.
  2. Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance.
  3. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  4. Strong communication and time management skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. A friendly and can-do attitude.
  7. Strong data analysis and creative thinking skills.
  8. Ability to identify fraud indicators and innovate investigation strategy.
  9. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence initiatives and practical applications.
  10. Investigation experience in the insurance and/or financial industry would be considered an asset.
  11. No Canadian work experience required; however, must be eligible to work in Canada.
