Arobas personnel is looking for a permanent Specialist, Compliance & Information Systems Security with one of our clients located in Montreal.

You will be responsible for ensuring the protection of personal data and the security of the company's IT systems, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations, as well as the effective management of emergency situations and regulations.

What does your day to day look like?

  • Leading the ISO 27001 and SOC-2 certification process, ensuring compliance with established security standards and coordinating efforts to maintain them.
  • Design and implement cyber security policies to ensure data confidentiality.
  • Proactively monitor security practices to detect and prevent potential threats and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to meet certification requirements and implement monitoring and continuous improvement processes.
  • Providing strategic security support to internal teams and customers, reinforcing the company's credibility and compliance.
  • Develop communication strategies to promote cybersecurity policies and best practices, and raise awareness among employees and customers.
  • Use different channels to disseminate policies and encourage adherence.
  • Provide specialist support to internal sales teams on cyber security, including technical advice when presenting hosting and security packages.
  • Provide customer support on cyber security standards such as PCI DSS and engage in discussions with potential customers to explain in detail the cyber security solutions on offer and address their concerns.
  • Develop innovative ideas to enhance the Cloud services portfolio.
  • Work with the relevant teams to transform ideas into initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Supervising the company's physical infrastructure, including security systems such as remote surveillance, alarms and access control.
  • Ensuring the availability and reliability of technological equipment and servers.
  • Ensuring that the team responsible for providing internal support uses IT equipment that complies with defined security standards.
  • Implementing security protocols (password and access management) to reinforce data security and confidentiality.
  • Assume responsibility for compliance with regulatory requirements and R&D and CDAE claims, preparing the necessary documents for submission to RCGT.
  • Contribute to strategic development by providing product compliance expertise.
  • Support the development of innovative Cloud products and services, aligning initiatives with the company's business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an effective disaster recovery plan for emergency situations.
  • Coordinating the actions required to restore critical IT systems and business processes quickly and effectively, in accordance with the plan's guidelines.
  • Ensure the management of critical accesses and the security of sensitive information.

What we’re looking for?

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, IT security or a related field.
  • Additional cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM (an asset).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an information systems security management role, ideally in the technology services sector.
  • Proven experience in managing cybersecurity projects, including obtaining certifications, and in managing security incidents and disaster recovery plans.
  • Mastery of security management tools and software.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructures and web application development technologies.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC-2 and other relevant security standards.
  • Ability to ensure regulatory compliance in terms of personal data protection and IT security.
  • Ability to manage emergency situations and implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Excellent skills in risk analysis and vulnerability management (proactive risk assessment and implementation of preventive measures).
  • Ability to draft detailed and accurate technical documents, essential for documenting cyber security policies, compliance procedures and audit reports.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively raise awareness of cyber security issues among employees and customers, and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to train and coach teams on good security practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks according to priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in French and English.
