Operational Risk Manager

Our global financial services client is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join their growing team. This hybrid role is based in Montreal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operational risk management efforts for Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) products and services.
- Ensure accurate incident/loss reporting, control gap identification, and timely action.
- Develop and manage risk/control metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Conduct and oversee Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA).
- Maintain strong relationships with 1LoD, 2LoD, and 3LoD functions.
- Contribute to and present at internal risk committees and governance meetings.
- Handle regulator interactions and manage periodic assessments.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in operational risk management, with knowledge of CIB products and services.
- Strong understanding of Middle Office/Back Office functions and support functions (IT, Finance, Risk, Compliance).
- Proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and drive change, work independently, and manage regulatory requests.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
