Avient is seeking a Plant Administrator for 1st shift for its Toronto, Canada location.

Essential Functions

  1. Performs a variety of office administrative functions, such as preparing reports/documentation, processing mail, and filing.
  2. Performs the closing and final adjustments to production process orders ('corking').
  3. Creates and maintains Outbound Sales order deliveries in SAP system.
  4. Coordinates the Colour Chip & Quality document Management function for outbound shipments.
  5. Updating & maintaining production records, including filing, and handling of training records and plant records.
  6. Responsible for outbound FedEx / courier shipments (lab samples, documents, etc.).
  7. Responsible for monitoring inventory of office supplies and replenish supplies when required.
  8. Assist Lab with Technical Application Request (TAR) Input and Closing.
  9. Assist Lab with filing of colour chips, documents and samples.
  10. Coordinates Incoming Colour match samples for lab, as well as inbound lab match resins and QC resins.
  11. May assist Plant Management with time-keeping and attendance tracking.
  12. Provides general administrative support to plant. May provide lead direction to other staff in the performance of plant administrative responsibilities.
  13. Greeting and control of contractors and visitors to the site.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Manufacturing Plant Worksite (in person) – Office and Colour Laboratory.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and tight timelines and deadlines.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and math skills. ERP systems experience (SAP experience preferred).
  • Must have very good interpersonal skills, comfortable to interact with a variety of people and departments, both in-person and via email/messaging systems.

Physical Demands

Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time, talking and listening. Must be able to walk and use hands. Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion/tasks (i.e. computer data entry). Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate. Occasionally work is in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is loud.
