Summary

Who are we?

The Bell Mobility Radio team plans, designs, builds, and operates networks providing managed services for public safety and commercial radio users. Our project delivery team oversees the design, development and implementation of public safety and commercial radio solutions for our customers.

What we’re looking for:

A strong project manager with proven leadership skills and extensive project management experience to lead the delivery of key projects for our public safety radio and commercial radio customers. Bell Mobility is currently rebuilding the Public Safety Radio Network for the Government of Ontario. A Province wide system whereby Bell Mobility is responsible for the following deliverables:

  1. Build the Radio Network — the network’s core infrastructure — as well as support antennas, servers and data centre equipment, which together will provide essential public safety radio coverage across the province;
  2. Provide first responders, as well as their dispatchers, with state-of-the-art radio equipment and consoles that enable quick and effective responses in emergency situations;
  3. Provide network and radio equipment maintenance services for a period of 15 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the government of Ontario to lead the successful deployment of the Land Mobile Radio Network Project (LMRN).
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the project management life cycle including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, project tracking, monitoring and reporting.
  • Create, manage and communicate clear project schedules to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Monitor, track and report on project progress against scope, milestones, schedule and budget.
  • Work with project team members and customers to proactively address issues and risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure expectations are understood and delivered upon.
  • Deliver projects in accordance to technical specifications and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Critical Qualifications
  • 4+ years of project management skills and experience, that includes a proven track record of leading and delivering technical projects for external customers on time and on budget.
  • Proven experience building relationships with external customers while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated project delivery leadership experience.
  • Highly skilled in verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
  • Proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Visio).
  • PMP designation is preferred.
  • Understanding of public safety radio technology and public safety radio networks is considered an asset.
