Job Description:
- Supervises and supports the delivery of food and refreshments to employees while delivering high service standards and procedures with emphasis on ensuring seating and meals are available for all shifts.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and fixtures using correct cleaning agents and working in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Cleans and re-stocks service stations and all other storage areas.
- Familiarizes with all items available to employees in relation to the employee menu and buffet items.
- Sets up each table according to the needs for each service, including condiments and utilities.
- Adheres to the cleaning schedule and ensures it is followed at all times.
- Reports for duty on time and maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene.
- Knowledgeable of all equipment in the cafeteria.
- Performs any other tasks requested by the Human Resources Team and any reasonable request made by employee committee members.
- Actively involved in food welfare committee meetings and ideas to enhance the employee dining experience.
- Attends team meetings and training sessions on a regular basis, as required.
- Carries out any occasional duty as requested by the Employee Accommodation Manager, including functions such as employee welfare events and National days.
- Responsible for food control, stock taking, ordering, and quality control.
- Assists the Stewards in preparing cafeteria utensils used during meal and tea breaks.
- Ensures that proper sanitation and hygiene are followed in dining and kitchen areas.
- Provides assistance to employees in the Cafeteria.
- Works closely with the Hygiene Manager and Chief Steward to ensure the dining facilities meet all food safety and municipality standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality.
- Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality.
- Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.
