As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced On-Road Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team.Position Overview The On-Road Heavy-Duty Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty highway trucks and related equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in both the shop and field service environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty on-road trucks and trailers to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services in accordance with OEM specifications and company standards.Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical, brake, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.Conduct road tests and inspections to verify repair quality.Maintain accurate service records and documentation.Respond to breakdowns and service calls as required.Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and company policies.Work collaboratively with dispatchers, drivers, and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime.Qualifications & ExperienceJourneyperson/Red Seal Heavy-Duty On Road Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic certification (or equivalent).Minimum 5 years of experience working with on-road heavy trucks and trailers.Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, air brakes, electrical and diagnostic procedures.Experience with electronic diagnostic software and tools.Valid driver's license Class 5.Clean Driver AbstractClear Criminal Record Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety and quality.Preferred AssetsExperience working with fleet maintenance programs or transportation companies.OEM or manufacturer-specific training.What We OfferMonday - Friday, 12 hours per day, overtime after 8 Competitive compensation and overtime opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package.
