Business System Analyst

Job DescriptionLeverageTek is actively seeking an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst (COTS Software) for an 8-month contract role with its Ottawa-based customer.Work LocationHybrid - Ottawa (On site 1x/week)Key TasksSystem configuration and managementManages and maintains COTS platforms and related applications to program offering.Works closely with internal interested parties to analyze business processes and optimize system configuration to meet business needs.Collaborates with internal interested parties to analyze, prioritize, and implement change requests for system enhancements.Serves as the key point of contact between the organization and system vendors, ensuring that business requirements are communicated effectively to the vendor, and system changes are communicated to internal interested parties.Works with vendors to perform system updates, ensuring new features and functionality are implemented seamlessly, and that any maintenance updates go live without any issues.Understands impacts of new features or maintenance updates on configuration and integrations, and ensure all functionality is fully tested prior to going live.Troubleshoots and resolves system-related issues, liaising with vendor support when necessary.Makes best practice recommendations for system use and configuration to improve business performance and efficiency.Training & User SupportDevelops and delivers training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in the use of COTS platforms and related applications.Creates and updates user guides and other training materials for internal interested parties.Provides ongoing support for end-users, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with system adoption.Keeps current on COTS and AI developments by participating in vendor communities/online forums, staying current on new functionality, participating in user groups, etc.Key QualificationsExtensive experience configuring, testing, and maintaining COTS applications, including release management, integrations, and troubleshooting system issues.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into precise, functional configurations.Proven expertise in quality assurance and validation, ensuring new features and updates are implemented seamlessly across environments.AssetsRISR experience considered a strong asset.Previous involvement in COTS system implementation, configuration, or administration.Experience with AI tools for data analysis is an assetKnowledge of /experience in healthcare, medical education, and/or high stakes assessments is an assetBusiness Analysis Certification (e.g., Prosci)Change Management Certification (e.g., CBAP)Project Management certification (e.g., Agile, PMP) About LeverageTek Staffing SolutionsFounded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
