Position Title: Mechanical Completion & Commissioning MillwrightJob Location: Southeastern British Columbia, BCEmployment Type: Contract (approximately 1 year)Rotational Schedule: Drive-in, Drive-out rotational schedule, 13 days on/8 days offAbout the Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Completion & Commissioning Millwright to support the late-stage construction and commissioning of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant for a major mining client. This is a 1-year contract position with a focus on mechanical system completion, verification, and commissioning support for fixed and rotating equipment.The ideal candidate will bring proven experience working in industrial or mining environments and will play a key role in ensuring the plant's mechanical systems are safely and effectively transitioned from construction to operational readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for process and utility systems.Install, align, and test pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, and other mechanical components.Support functional testing, flushing, pressure testing, and system turnover documentation.Collaborate closely with commissioning engineers, construction teams, and client representatives to resolve issues and verify readiness for start-up.Maintain accurate records of inspections, checks, and system status in alignment with project completion systems (check sheets, ITRs, etc.).Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards and procedures.Qualifications & ExperienceLicensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) - Red Seal certification is an asset.Demonstrated experience in mechanical systems completion and commissioning in the mining, oil and gas, or other industrial process plant environments.Hands-on experience with water treatment systems, pumps, valves, and mechanical packages is an asset.Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and completion documentation.Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment during a fast-paced project phase.Work Conditions & CompensationDrive-In/Drive-Out rotational schedule: 13 days on / 8 days off.Candidates must be based in British Columbia or Alberta.Mileage reimbursement for travel between home and project site.Live Out Allowance (LOA) provided during on-site rotation.Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.Join the TeamThis is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile mining infrastructure project and be part of a team focused on delivering a safe and efficient transition from construction to operations.If you are a motivated Millwright with mechanical systems completion and commissioning experience and ready for your next challenge, we encourage you to apply.
