We are offering two structured career paths depending on your trade:

--- MECHANIC / FIREFIGHTER PATHWAY ---

Year 1 Salary: $67,

Year 5 Salary: $82,093.00

You will begin in your trade while entering a fully paid municipal firefighter apprenticeship that elevates your career far beyond traditional automotive roles. Your mechanical training directly supports fire apparatus, rescue fleet, and emergency response vehicles - while you advance into leadership-level firefighting qualifications over five years. FRI will train and certify you to the level of a professional municipal firefighter.

Firefighting Operations

• NFPA Level I
• NFPA Level II

Hazardous Materials

• NFPA Hazmat Awareness
• NFPA Hazmat Operations

Emergency Vehicle Operations

• Class 3Q Alberta Driver's License (training & testing paid)
• NFPA Driver
• NFPA Pump/Operator

Medical

• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

Command & Leadership

• ICS 100
• ICS 200
• ICS 300
• NFPA Health and Safety Officer
• NFPA Incident Safety Officer
• NFPA Instructor Level I
• NFPA Instructor Level II
• NFPA Officer Level I
• NFPA 1021- Officer Level II

Upon completion, candidates are fully prepared for internationally recognized Fire Officer accreditation, and eligible to serve as a Captain within FRI.

This entire training program is 100% employer-funded (No tuition, no student loans, no out-of-pocket costs).
