Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients across the United States and Canada. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.Key responsibilitiesIdentify and prioritize target clients in line with company's segment strategyDevelop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goalsProactively prospect, cold call, and engage with potential clients to generate new business opportunitiesAttend industry events to build and nurture relationships with target audienceLead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals leveraging internal experts and partnersBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customersUnderstand customer needs, challenges, and objectives to effectively position our services and solutions to meet their requirementsCollaborate closely with the business development team in Basel, Switzerland and solution experts across the company to deliver business development goalsStay on top of industry developments, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to identify new business opportunities and potential partnershipsExperience and skills required:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferredMinimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within the CRO or broader life science industryStrong understanding of drug discovery process, chemistry, and medicinal chemistry conceptsDemonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and objectivesExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholdersStrategic thinker with analytical mindset and ability to translate insights into plansSelf-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative teamWillingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and industry eventsApplication ProcessApplications must be sent by December 19 to the email along with a CV
