With a strong presence across Canada, the company values initiative, accountability, and a hands-on approach to leadership.This opportunity is ideal for a CPA-designated professional coming from a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) who is ready to step into a corporate manager role. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, real estate industry exposure, and a passion for process improvement and mentorship.What You'll Accomplish in This RoleOversee full-cycle corporate accounting, including monthly close, reconciliations, and variance analysis across multiple entities.Prepare annual consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.Manage sales tax compliance (GST/HST, QST) and ensure adherence to ASPE and internal controls.Supervise and mentor a small corporate accounting team (senior and junior accountants).Collaborate cross-functionally with property management, asset management, and tax teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process, along with weekly and quarterly cash forecasting.Lead and liaise with external auditors on year-end audits and tax filings.Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.Contribute to a positive, high-performing culture that encourages teamwork, respect, and professional growth.What You'll Bring to the TableCPA designation (required).5+ years of experience in corporate finance or public accounting (real estate audit or industry experience preferred).Strong understanding of ASPE and consolidation principles.Experience managing or mentoring staff, with a leadership mindset.Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; Yardi experience is an asset.Proven analytical skills with a problem-solving, "think outside the box" approach.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities.Why This Opportunity?Work with a supportive, people-first leadership team that encourages career growth and autonomy.Hybrid work modelExposure to complex corporate structures, consolidations, and real estate accounting.Culture that values respect, teamwork, and work-life balance.Compensation & Details Salary Range: $100-120K + annual bonus (flexible based on experience) Location: Hybrid, Greater Toronto Area Benefits: Comprehensive group benefits planWe use AI tools as part of our screening process to assist in candidate assessment.
