Job Overview

Senior accountant with personal and corporate tax experience required for day to day job at our small public accounting firm

What you'll do

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Prepare compilation engagements
  • Maintain and build relationships with client base
  • bookkeeping for certain clients
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain financial accuracy
  • Prepare tax returns (personal and corporate)
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management

Basic qualifications

  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts
  • Proficiency in technical accounting practices with experience in public accounting preferred

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with financial software tools that enhance efficiency in accounting tasks
