We are celebrating our 17th year in business and are seeking to join forces with a qualified professional to join us as Life Insurance Specialist.

We seek an energetic professional interested in helping our business grow through needs-based conversations and remarkable customer experience.


The most challenging part of providing Life and Income replacement is to find prospects with which to speak, and the fact that is typically a commission situation with very little to no base salary.

These are not challenges we face in our Office as there is a base salary and commission, which encourages needs-based conversations.


In our office, the phone rings all day as our existing clients call to make changes to their Home and Auto Insurance coverage.

We are looking for a customer-focused individual who will engage with these inbound calls to make suggestions on Life and Disability coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
  • Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals, and to build our referral network.

Requirements:

  • Must have an LLQP license
  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal and listening
  • Proactive in problemsolving
  • Dedicated to customer service
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to make presentations to potential customers

Compensation Package:

  • Total compensation 80100k+
  • These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.
