YOUR MISSION


The Materials Management Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, receiving and prioritizing requests received in terms of material requirements for the manufacture of costumes and/or semi-finished products.

Reporting to the Materials Management Team Leader, he/she will be responsible for Kanban management for the costume workshops.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage workshop materials according to the kanban replenishment system
  • Analyze requirements (new and old), recommendation and replenishment points
  • Initiate purchase signals
  • Update inventory in SAP system based on information gathered
  • Track missing materials where applicable
  • Coordinate material changes as required
  • Update replenishment cards
  • Deliver components/orders to the various workshops and keep the various areas in order
  • Ensure sound management of residual materials
  • Participate in the layout and storage of materials in the warehouse
  • Help optimize storage space
  • Provide kanban training and coaching to artisans
  • Perform all other tasks in support of the CGM team
  • Monitor and receive materials
  • Communicate and follow up with buyers, planners and coordinators on purchasing needs
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and processes
  • Comply with health and safety regulations

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

  • DEC in administration, option operations management, or stock and warehouse management, or procurement or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a related job
  • Mastery of the Kanban supply system
  • Physical capacity for daily effort in moving materials (+7 kg)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in SAP and Sharepoint
  • Organizational, scheduling and planning skills
  • Analytical skills to identify and find solutions to common problems related to this position
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good stress management and ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders in the workshop sector
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Functional level of English
