We are looking for an
Accounts Payable Analyst to join us as FreshPoint Vancouver.


Reporting to the SBS Team Leader Accounts Payable, the
AP Analyst will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of AP invoices.

This includes invoice verification, payment authorization and processing, reconciliations and more.


This role is a hybrid work model requiring the individual to be on-site for at least 2-3 days per week.

Due to month-end processes, the individual may be required to fulfill assigned work outside of the core working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Approve invoices and provide coding as required
  • Handle Corporate or directbilled vendor reclamations, vendor returns and claims
  • Field inbound phone calls from suppliers and respond to requests for information or approval
  • Download claims report without vouchers, review for discrepancies and investigate when needed
  • Manual vouching and standard cheque runs, print and mail cheques and generate payments
  • Process logistics revenue adjustments submitted by OpCos
  • Process rebate payments, reconcile daily and month end reports
  • Resolve AP debit balances on the trial balance
  • Review and approve claims,
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service levels and quality requirements are achieved
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or higher preferred
  • 24 years' experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger or equivalent
  • Previous experience performing 3way matching
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used AP concepts, practices and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse with all levels of the organization
  • May be required to fulfill assigned work outside of core working hours due to month end and year end processes

Location: 1020 Malkin Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6A 3S9. Accessible to multiple bus lines.

Schedule

  • Core business hours: 8am to 5pm
