Contract Manager

Working Hours: 8 hours/day
Travel: Once a quarter, if required
Requirements for Proposed Consultants:
- Solid understanding of contract law, trade agreements, public procurement policy, and government procurement practices.
- Proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and risk management.
- Up-to-date knowledge of recent trends in public and private sector procurement.
- Familiarity with recent developments in Canadian contract law and court rulings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively represent the ministry's business interests in procurements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, resolving issues efficiently and delivering high-quality work promptly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including analyzing complex procurement matters, managing risks, and viewing challenges as opportunities.
- Ability to promote innovation to enhance project success and performance.
- Previous experience specific to Canadian public sector entities (federal, provincial, municipal governments, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing competitive procurement projects in the last decade.
- Led multiple RFP projects resulting in successful contracts within the specified timeframes.
- Experience in overseeing evaluation processes and negotiations of procurement contracts.
- Proficiency in IT procurement and contracting models.
- Provide two sample projects primarily authored by each proposed Consultant.
- Province expects two samples for each Procurement Consultant for evaluation.
- Preference for Consultants with formal education in a related business or computer science field.
- Possession of a procurement designation or graduate certificate is advantageous, e.g., those offered by recognized organizations such as CIPS or IACCM.
