The Opportunity:

We are changing the way people buy and service cars one dealership at a time. In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. Each month we welcome hundreds of new users to our software platform, and we need your help.

We are unique in the industry because we view our customers as business partners, technology innovators, and friends. Our software can run all aspects of an automotive dealership with sales, service, inventory management, and accounting modules.

And that is where you come into the picture. While specific roles are posted, PBS is always open to pivoting with quality people and adding to the team based on your skills and the needs of our customers. After you join the team, we will continue the process of moving you into new roles based on your talents, growth, and interests.

The Role:

As a Software Product Analyst (Parts module), you will be working on the PSG (product and services group) Team within the Development department. You will be responsible for problem Management, quality assurance testing, documenting, and participating in the full development lifecycle of new and existing software features and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple tasks at once, maintaining exceptional quality
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and design new features
  • Investigate, replicate and escalate problems and bugs
  • Execute test procedures on bugs and new features
  • Review requirements analysis
  • Create new product documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and SCRUM
  • Travel required, one week a quarter (Canada and USA)

Qualifications:

  • University degree or Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years QA and/or industry experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Experience with Agile software development, MySQL and with bug tracking tools will be a definitive asset
  • Previous experience/knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both a team atmosphere and independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail, outstanding prioritization and organizational skills, including strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to dive into difficult technical issues
  • Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a constantly changing work environment
  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Have been in your current role for at least 6 months
  • Have no PIP (Performance Improvement Plan)
