The Opportunity

Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst. This is a full-time position based out of our Calgary head office. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Key Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities:

Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes for business units.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
Evaluate and report on operational performance and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial policies.
Assist in financial planning and strategic initiatives.
Drive improvement in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial analysis and reporting processes.
Prepare ad hoc economic analysis and management reports as needed.
Prepares monthly lookbacks comparing accruals and budgets to actuals.
Prepares monthly accruals.
Other tasks, as required.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance considered an asset.
1-5 years of accounting experience, specific Oil and Gas operating accounting experience would be considered an asset.
Obtained or working towards a CPA considered an asset.
Experience with Qbyte an asset.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
