Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Banquet Lead to join our special events team.

Reporting to the Wedding and Special Events Manager, the Banquet Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of banquets and events within a hospitality or catering environment.

This position involves various tasks related to setting up, serving, and cleaning up after events, ensuring that guests have a positive experience.

This role requires providing friendly and efficient guest service, and completion of occasional administrative duties according to need.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the supervision and direction of Banquet Staff during set up/tear down and all events
• Ensure that excellent levels of service are being delivered to event guests during service.
• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork
• Assist in the set up and tear down of all events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations. Set up audiovisual equipment, lighting, and other technical components as needed.
• Assist with food service and bartending during all weddings, events and meetings when needed
• Maintain an onsite presence during all meetings, events and wedding
• Act as Manager in the absence of Wedding and Special Events Manager during events
• Oversee that established quality standards for timely delivery, presentation is exceeded
• Bring any customer concerns/suggestions to the attention of the Manager
• Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, responding promptly to their requests and inquiries.
• Ensure all safety regulations are implemented and followed
• All other duties as assigned by Wedding and Special Events Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

• College or University, diploma/degree in Hospitality, Events Management or related program
• SmartServe certified is required
• Bartending and serving experience
• Previous experience with working events and banquets
• Must have reliable transportation. We are not on bus route
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytical/decisionmaking skills.
• A positive and teamoriented attitude.
• Must be able to work with mínimal supervision and have a strong initiative.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Passionate and productive leadership skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organizational, supervisory and communication skills
• Ability to move furniture unassisted and lift 25+ lbs
