Fleming College, Toronto Programs is a public college-private partnership between Fleming College Canada (FC) and (Trebas), with academic delivery and student support services managed by Trebas.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordinating, promoting, and execution of student events, trips, and activities both on/off campus and virtual.
  • Use an international lens to positively engage students and cultivate memorable student experiences, with a focus on diversity, and inclusion.
  • Quickly gain a thorough understanding of the FCT student journey, from preenrolment to graduation, and various departments, policies, and processes to provide students realtime answers to their questions, and where necessary, redirect enquiries to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the Student Services team, communicate and engage with students regarding important updates across the student experience and journey.
  • Communicate with vendors, external organizations, and companies regarding events and trips while maintaining positive and professional working relationships with partners.
  • Gather and compile student feedback and data, including statistics and trends relating to student events and activities.
  • Handle large volume of student communication in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Maintain and update student files and records as necessary while followingup on incomplete documents. Assist in the interim reviews of the student files.
  • Deliver outstanding handson student service with an emphasis on student engagement and client satisfaction.
  • Support daytoday operations of the Student Services Department as needed.

Required Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum 1 year of event planning, or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with international students and/or new immigrants will be considered a valuable asset.
  • Experience working in a postsecondary, higher education atmosphere will be considered a valuable asset.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (additional language considered an asset).
  • Multitasking, ability to work in a high volume and facefastpaced environment,
  • Excellent timemanagement skills, multitasking, and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Acts with ethics, accountability and integrity and demonstrates sound judgment and respect for individuals in all interactions.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
