Payroll & AP Administrator

(Full-Time, Permanent)

We are searching for a dynamic and dedicated full-time Payroll & AP Administrator, who will be responsible for processing all payroll-related transactions, invoices, and payments.

What you will be doing:

  • Process biweekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work collaboratively with P&C and through HRIS to ensure all payrollrelated data are transformed into the payroll system
  • Provide customer services to queries from employees, management, and P&C on payrollrelated matters
  • Responsible for payroll remittances, including payroll taxes and other deductions
  • Balance annual remittances with the payroll register, issue and file T4 and T4A summaries with CRA
  • Process Group Benefit invoices
  • Calculate all Pension Benefit/Contribution amounts for payment processes
  • Prepare and enter monthly salary and benefit accruals into the system.
  • Assist in preparing monthly salary and benefits reports and claims as assigned.
  • Reconcile salary and benefit of claims vs. General Ledger, investigate, and rectify any variances identified.
  • Prepare and distribute ROE according to the federal and all other appropriate legislations.
  • Create, compile, and summarize payroll information for internal and external auditors and management reports as required.
  • Receive, review, and file invoices, cheque requisitions, and employee reimbursement forms to ensure appropriate account codes and supporting documentation, and approval signatures are sufficient.
  • Enter vendor invoices, cheque requisitions, and employee reimbursement forms into the accounting system promptly.
  • Enter all preauthorizationrelated transactions into the accounting system
  • Handle monthly journal entries of transit ticket distributions, rents, and cash advance reconciliations.
  • Assist in payments runs
  • Provide customer services for inquiries on invoices and payments internally and externally

What are we looking for?

  • College diploma/certificate specialized in payroll
  • Minimum 2 years of experience processing highvolume and fullcycle payroll
  • PCP, CPM certification or working towards the certification is required
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel and word processing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information and records
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues
  • Selfdirected, selfmotivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline

Salary:
$ $32.01 hourly (based on experience)

Location:
Toronto

Hours: 35 hrs/week; occasional evenings and weekends as required
