Assistant Divisional Controller, Agribusiness

Position: Part Time / Full Time

The Assistant Divisional Controller for Agribusiness acts as the right-hand person to the Divisional Controller, overseeing financial reporting, planning, analysis, and control functions within the Agribusiness division. Building strong relationships with key business leaders, this role involves guiding effective financial management, optimizing financial performance, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes and team development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze financial data, trends, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting processes, compliance with regulations, and internal controls. Produce various financial reports and implement new KPIs to enhance financial performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve efficiencies and financial systems. Oversee external audits and mentor finance team members for their professional growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business along with a CPA designation. 10 years of finance/accounting experience in medium to large organizations. Knowledge of petroleum or agriculture industry and proficiency in ERP systems and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex financial concepts, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
