As Life License and Contract Specialist, you maintain life insurance licenses and contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and standards applicable to our organization.


To be successful in this role, you need to be a proactive and effective team member, while remaining highly efficient, with a high sense of urgency and drive for accuracy.


What you will do:

  • Maintain life insurance licenses, contracts, and Errors and Omissions Insurance for employees and entities within the corporate structure, across multiple jurisdictions across Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with all license and contract requirements within the highly regulated insurance industry.
  • Create efficiency and improvements to the process of license and contract renewals for all employees, affiliates, and entities.
  • Communicate and foster relationships with employees, affiliates, entities, provincial insurance councils, MGAs, AGAs, APEXA, and insurance companies.
  • Support all TTSG employees with tracking and submitting Continuing Education credits and Personal Development Units for license renewals.
  • Create and maintain internal electronic file records and licensing and compliance related databases (Apexa, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain rigorous compliance standards.

Your education and experience include:

  • 23 years of experience working in a life insurance licensing, compliance environment, Canadian life insurance companies, insurance regulators, or APEXA is considered an asset.
  • Life Licensing Qualification Program (LLQP) completion is an asset.
