Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting shipments to and from the project site. This position is also responsible to ensure all inventory and logistics needs are met in a professional manner.

The purpose of the position is to add value by providing excellent service to internal customers, managing supplier relationships, and utilizing efficient business processes.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform shipping and receiving functions.
  • Coordinate and expedite shipments to and from project sites and subsidiaries.
  • Review staging and warehouse employee training needs and ensure required training is available and completed.
  • Generate and maintain uptodate, accurate filing of all domestic and international documents on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Identify and count parts, materials, and equipment and maintain inventory control.
  • Asset Transfers for Mobile Equipment.
  • Liaise with supply and logistics vendors as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ensure and maintain accurate records of materials and goods shipped.
  • Operate Company's equipment as required as per valid certifications and training.
  • Allocate invoices to proper accounts via Redpath's systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning Redpath and client information.
  • Read, understand, and follow international regulations, policies, procedures, and updates relevant to importing and exporting goods, dangerous goods, wood packaging and customs.

Education and Experience

  • Diploma in Business with Supply Chain & Logistics Management or equivalent experience
  • 13 years related experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, warehousing, or procurement.
  • Experience in the
    mining environment completing shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and procurement would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the complexity of shipping to and from remote areas and other countries.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment and able to adjust to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Information:

  • The successful applicants will be required to pass drug and alcohol testing, as well as a medical questionnaire when visiting the site.
  • Site visits will be required, paid travel by air or car.
