Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities

Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of its business goals. It will be your responsibility to inspire and motivate your team to deliver their best performance and align the team's daily actions with the strategic vision of the ministry. You will contribute to the achievement of team goals by:

• Leading, managing, motivating, and coaching professional staff and project teams.

• Providing leadership and direction for program delivery initiatives and project plans.

• Overseeing the preparation of project plans and executive briefings on operational issues.

• Leading program and service delivery reviews to assess effectiveness and accountability.

• Providing strategic advice and project direction to staff and senior decision-makers.

• Developing networks and maintain connections with key government and non-government partners, including Indigenous communities.

How do I qualify?Leadership experience:
• You have experience managing and leading teams within large, complex work environments.

• You are an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued and empowered to contribute.

• You have coaching skills to support the growth and development of team members in a technical environment.

• You have experience supporting successful change initiatives.

Project management expertise:
• You have experience leading large-scale projects focused on modernization and business solutions.

• You have experience managing project resources (financial and human), ensuring their effective use and compliance with budget allocations and financial policies.

• You have experience assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs or services.

• You can interpret legislation, regulations, and policies to guide staff and stakeholders.

Strategic and Operational Planning Skills:
• You have experience establishing strategic objectives, work plans and results-based planning to meet current and future priorities.

• You have experience managing projects, effectively utilizing resources and prioritizing tasks to deliver results.

• You have experience in managing and driving transformational change, addressing opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Communication and Stakeholder management skills:
• You can build and maintain collaborative relationships with high-profile stakeholders and partners.

• You can communicate effectively and manage conflicts with innovative thinking and political acuity.

• You can communicate complex information in a clear and compelling way.

• You understand the factors and issues impacting and influencing Indigenous partners, communities and organizations including concepts, barriers and principles for engagement, consultation and relationship building.
