Senior Analytics Engineering Specialist

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Analytics Engineering Specialist to ensure the availability of trusted, well-documented, and fit-for-purpose data sets.

The role cleans, models, and documents data within the Enterprise Analytics Platform.

The role also interprets the requirements of Data Analysts and Business stakeholders and transforms data into accessible, reusable formats for consumption.


YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Transform data for analyst consumption by cleaning and aggregating data, denormalizing tabular data, and building cubes in multiple formats.

Create dimensionally modeled relational (DMR) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) data sets as required for reporting and analytics.

Adhere to DataOPS best practices to optimize data pipelines and collaborate with stakeholders along the entire data lifecycle.

Consult in the collection of requirements from data analysts and business stakeholders.


Coordinate root-cause analysis of data issues and solution testing, engaging Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Technology partners, and vendors as required.


Work Experience:

Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Developer.

Two (2) or more years' experience building reports and dashboards in data viz tools. Experience in Gaming and in Big Data technologies a strong asset.

Degree in Information Technology or Software Development, or equivalent work experience. High proficiency at dimensional modeling of data. High degree of comfort with data models and schema in industry standard formats. Familiarity with data pipelines and DataOPS best practices.

Technical proficiency with reporting, analytics, and data manipulation tools, including PowerBI and Alteryx. Comfort working in a highly Agile and iterative environment. Demonstrated proficiency at translating requirements between technical and business stakeholders, in both directions.
