Position Overview:

Reporting to the Climbing Gym Supervisor and acting within the vision for Town of Canmore Recreation, the Temporary Climbing Gym Coordinator primarily schedules, maintains, assigns staff and evaluates contract and community programming with a clear vision for the needs and outcomes at all stages of climbing program experience.

The Climbing Gym Coordinator will also lead, develop, train, inspire and support front line staff in providing a climbing gym that is consistent, clean, safe, serves a diverse climbing market, and is a fun and a sustainable place to work.

Additionally, the interim Climbing Gym Coordinator is a leader in Town of Canmore Recreation and can support front line staff for all recreation departments at Elevation Place.


To ensure a thorough understanding of the climbing gym and support Town of Canmore recreation, some weekend and evening work will be required on a predictable schedule.

Education:
