From design to production, we utilize cutting-edge digital technologies to help our clients achieve their product development goals.

You will be responsible for setting up steel blocks on machines, locating and handling work material and housekeeping within the Machining Department.

As a
Machine
Setup Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting the machinist and ensuring quality is a priority each and every time while adhering to health and safety requirements.

  • Responsibilities:_
  • Set up machines in the Machining department.
  • Using the overhead crane to support molds / mold components throughout the shop and prepare them for production. (weight up to 50,000lbs).
  • Using the forklift to transport molds / mold components throughout the shop and prepare them for production, as well as dumping full steel chip bins outside (weight up to 5,000lbs).
  • Operating roughing CNC machines, rotating carbides at times.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organize, empty chip bins and by adhere to safety procedures.
  • Qualifications:_
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication and time management skills are required.
