TELEWORK
Global Affairs Canada will be following the direction from the Office of the Chief Human Resource Officer on the introduction of a common hybrid work model across the federal public service. This common hybrid work model will consist of work on site at least 2 days each week for now, and 3 days each week starting in September 2024.
We could, however, accept a person teleworking full-time under certain circumstances.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff 2 positions on an indeterminate basis with CBC/CBC and BBB/BBB linguistic requirements. A pool of candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures and/or bilingual requirements within Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The classification (job evaluation) team at GAC is made up of EX and non-EX operations, corporate classification, classification of locally engaged staff, special projects, and all the administrative support associated with these streams of work. ECUCATION

• ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution within an acceptable specialization relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE

• EX1 - Experience in evaluating positions and in providing advice and recommendation to senior management on complex* job evaluation issues and organization design.

*Complex means finding solutions to a job evaluation request where the situation does not have a readily available solution.

ABILITY

• AB2 - Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION

• AOC1 - Recognized accreditation in classification (granted either through TBS or Agency equivalent).

ASSET EXPERIENCES

• AEX1 - Completion of Hay plan training.

• AEX2 - Experience evaluating positions using the Hay plan.

• AEX3 - Experience in preparing briefing notes.

• AEX4 - Experience in writing or implementing standardized job descriptions.

• AEX5 - Experience supporting junior job evaluation staff in their development of job evaluation knowledge and competencies.

• AEX6 - Experience in project management.

• AEX7 - Experience in supervising employees.
