Job details Position Title: Registered Psychologist - Virtual or In-Person Services - Adult Services (Possibly Couples)Are you a compassionate and skilled psychologist looking to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and couples? PsychSolutions is currently seeking a full-time or part-time therapist (minimum 5-15 hours/week) to provide individual therapy and, potentially, couples therapy. As we are just beginning to offer couples counseling, referrals in this area will initially be fewer than individual clients. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support individual adult clients, with your caseload having a higher focus on assessing psychological treatment needs and providing personal psychological injury treatment.Key Responsibilities:* Conduct individual sessions for adult clients, integrating trauma research into the treatment process to support therapeutic outcomes.* Educate and assist loved ones in learning how to support an adult client following a personal injury, enhancing therapeutic outcomes.* Support couples in navigating difficult life transitions following personal injury, helping them adapt and strengthen their relationship during challenging times.* Guide and support couples in developing effective coping strategies and relationship skills.* Support couples with improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing relationship dynamics.* Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address relationship issues, such as infidelity, communication breakdown, and emotional disconnection.* Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources to provide comprehensive care.* Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.Additional Qualifications & Skills:* Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists.* Current licensure and professional liability insurance for Alberta.* Certification in EMDR and training in advanced EMDR and Ego-state work (or willingness to obtain).* Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management abilities.* Experience working with indigenous and/or immigrant populations is an asset.* Desirable, but Not Required Skill: Proficiency in Cantonese and/or MandarinBenefits of Working at PsychSolutions:* Full-time admin support.* Flexible schedule with opportunities for full-time caseload.* Non-EAP based referrals and referrals from a waiting list.* Comprehensive online booking and billing systems.* Collegial atmosphere with a comfortable work environment and ample free parking.Application Process:To apply, please email your resume and cover letter to Be prepared to provide a list of three professional references who can speak to your ability to form relationships,- Location Edmonton , AB
