To increase Rite-Hite in-plant product sales for assigned Rite-Hite product lines and various Allied Products lines.

Incumbent will sell these products to new and existing Arbon customers in industrial/commercial, new construction, and nontraditional markets within assigned geographic territory with Arbon District.

The In-Plant Specialist will focus on maximizing Rite-Hite product sales and profitability, through major account development, established Rite-Hite Global Accounts, major projects and market development.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


This position reports to the District Sales Manager and is responsible for developing the assigned territory in terms of market penetration, sales volume and profitability by promoting assigned Rite-Hite and Allied products sold by the District Office and developing long-term customer relationships.

Assigned Rite-Hite product lines will typically not include dock levelers, restraints, doors, and seals & shelters, but will include industrial fans and other Rite-Hite Aftermarket products, Zoneworks, and Frommelt Safety products.

Allied products will generally include mezzanines, modular offices, PFlow lifts, ergonomic equipment, and other in-plant product lines. Exact product assignments may vary from territory to territory and may change over time.

Major customer types and activities are as follows:

_Architects/Developers_
Provide design assistance for current and future projects for Barrier Systems, Industrial Fans, Zoneworks, Frommelt Safety and Allied products

Advise of industry trends and new/improved equipment.

Assist in developing/writing equipment specifications.

Develop long-term professional relationship which allow for a preference to Arbon active/future jobs, early job notification and end-user introduction.

Utilize relationship to gain tenant referrals

_ General Contractors_
Maintain consistent, timely contact to develop awareness of Rite-Hite in-plant and Allied products.

Ensure Arbon is on bid list for products listed above

Develop professional relationship through proposals, follow-up and after-sales support.

Attain and maintain market domination by developing a thorough knowledge of competitive activity and pricing policies.

_End-Users - Traditional and Nontraditional Customers_
Develop a positive long-term problem solving, counselor selling relationship.

This position is responsible for qualifying and developing sales leads (e.g. Industrial reports, phone-ins, bingo cards, smokestacks, etc.) into initial appointments with the decision makers and influencers at the architect/developer, contractor and end-user levels. Effective use of professional sales presentations, equipment demonstration, SFA, sales tool utilization and equipment proposals is required.


Incumbent is also responsible for developing customer interest and sales in Nontraditional markets such as: agricultural/equine, institution/government and athletic/sporting facilities in assigned geographic territory.


This position works directly with customers in the assigned territory or, where appropriate, works cooperatively with other Arbon sales personnel to best serve the customer.

This position requires some overnight travel.

Additionally, this position requires daily in the field travel via company automobile/car allowance for the purpose of visiting customer facilities and job sites.

This position must comply with all parameters specified in the Company Vehicle Policy Manual and all corresponding policies. A clean driving record is essential. At all times, use of a company vehicle must be accomplished in a safety conscious manner.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maximize assigned territory exposure and penetration by maintaining acceptable sales volume and profitability.

Establish long-term customer relationships.

Develop, maintain, and update active job reports by utilizing the computer based system and the SFA systems.

Assist in overall district development by providing market data and new approaches to District sales strategies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires a four year degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field. In addition, this position requires a minimum of five years successful industrial field sales experience. An equivalent combination of Industry Related Experience may be substituted for the 4 year degree.
